Albrecht Dürer: Renaissance Dude
Albrecht Dürer: Renaissance Dude
This show has now finished

A light-hearted lecture on the German Renaissance’s coolest dude, Albrecht Dürer. Active from the 1490s until 1522, he saw in his lifetime the discovery of the Americas, the first sea voyages to Asia and the seismic shift of the Reformation – all of which he responded to with warmth and humour in his work and numerous diaries. This show will offer an informative and amusing take on his life and times, revealing the dude behind some of art history’s most iconic images.
