Beo’s Bedroom
Beo’s Bedroom
This show has now finished

A fantastic story of a girl overcoming her fears and the monsters that live under her bed. Aided by her fearless stuffed animal friends, the young girl Beo faces her fears and becomes stronger for it. Based on the original Beowulf story, this children’s show uses physical theatre, some puppetry and a rhyming poetic verse to bring its tale to life. Beo is a girl who is afraid of the dark. After her mom tucks her into bed, the night creatures come out to play. Beo has to become strong to protect her stuffed animal friends. She defeats Grund, the pile of laundry under her bed and then she faces his mom who is a robe hanging on the bathroom door. In the end, Beo’s mom offers her a change to keep her company through the night. Beo decides that she now knows what is real and what is not and can sleep alone again. She’s growing up. This play has a great theme of growing up and out of our fears and for Beo, facing our fears.
